I have not laughed uncontrollably in a cinema forlongI can recall but this movie almost had me in casualty. This is an absolute gem - deliciously sick, twisted,cynical, whatever; you name it, it's probably that too.<br/><br/>A word on the technical accomplishment of the movie. The puppets,Trey and Matt have discovered, were a nightmare to work with but the perseverance involved (I can but guess) has evidently paid off. Even though they are deliberately "puppety" in a "Thunderbirds" kind of way (no bad thing, "Thunderbirds" still rule), there's a marvellous range of expression and facial subtlety on display.<br/><br/>Best jokes? I'm not going to spoil it. You'll want the DVD of this so you can enjoy over and over. Just don't show Michael Moore, Sean Penn, Susan Sarandon or any of the other po-faced egomaniacs who get rightly slaughtered here. Enjoy.
This was truly one of the worst films I've ever seen. These guys are so played out, so 1999, they need to find a new outlet for their lame attempt at humor.<br/><br/>Lame movie, don't waste time or money on this garbage. What was the goal of this movie? To cure insomnia? If so, well done and I apologize. If the goal was to entertain, well, the south park one trick wonders failed miserably.<br/><br/>Please someone somewhere stop financing these clowns before they film again.<br/><br/>Do not waste more precious dollars on such lame attempts at humor, if indeed this was intendeda comedy (it is so hard to tell, given the absence of laughs here).
Bits can be extremely funny. I howled at the ranting, mustard-splotched, wiener-waving Michael Moore.
Basically the only difference is the sex scene between Gary and Lisa. To obtain an R-Rating the infamous puppet sex scene was done in an over the top fashion and then defused to a slightly less offensive version. The Unrated version features the original sequence and runs approx. 40 seconds longer than the theatrical version.
